About this title: April Aloisio is a soft-toned vocalist whose sensuous and cool voice is perfect for bossa-nova. Half of the tunes on her impressive disc are in that genre and she proves that she can also sing straightahead jaz and scat quite effectively too. Aloisio is featured in a wide variety of settings from the 1985-94 period yet the program has a strong unity about it.
