About this title: Released for the first time in 1994, these straightahead performances are the earliest live recordings by the Pete Jolly Trio. With either Ralph Pena or Chuck Berghofer on bass and drummer Nick Martinis playing on most of the selections, Jolly is in typically exuberant form on a variety of jazz standards including "Oleo," a lengthy "Falling in Love with Love," a humorous "Blues in the Closet" and even "Whistle While You Work."
