About this title: This is basically a Charlie Parker album that Miles Davis plays on, largely consisting of old Dial masters. Only on the August 1947 session is Davis listed as leader -- the date which produced "Little Willie Leaps," "Sippin' at Bell's," "Half Nelson," and the title track. Although these are some of Parker's best -- and some of jazz's greatest early bop sides, chances are you should check your collection to make sure you don't already have these tracks on another compilation. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
