"This is the second Documentary about the Beales and Grey Gardens, by the Maysles' brothers. It's true depiction of two women brought up in the aristocracy of New Englands most prominent. With such famous family members as (niece/cousin)Jackie Kennedy Onassis, it's seems ironic how these two women came to be impoverished. Big and Little Edie Beale remained in their 27 room masion, utilizing only 3 rooms. They once had over 20 servants, and ended up with barely enough to exist. Little Edie is surely the star of the second film and she seems to love the lime light. She still seems to be a 22 year old, very naive girl she was 30 years earlier. She is charming, very lovable, and seems to find eccentric ways with coping with her situation. I love both Maysles films about these women. You can't help but love both Big and Little Edie dispite their disfunctional relationship. The love between them is very apparent. It makes me want to go back in time and get to know and help them personally. The Maylses helped me fall totally in love with these 2 Beales."
