"This was a disgustingly violent and crude movie and to call it entertainment is a real stretch. We are "007" fans and had not seen this one, so you can imagine how disappointed we were. Daniel Craig was definitely not in the same league with other actors who have been cast as "007." It's too bad we can't "unbuy" this DVD. We did not put it in our giveaway box either .. we just threw it away. What a waste of money and time!"
"Daniel Craig proves that he indeed does make a good James Bond. His is uniquely different than the others before him, nevertheless he pull it off easily. Martin Campbell directs with lots of verve."
"The Ian flemingo's ficticious British secret services agent 007 or James Bond finds a new way to "break the rules", and runs into confrontation with his own superiors...so as to fulfill Bond's aim to keep things secure and uses aptly the "License to Kill" provided by the British secret services to root out the evil. The rubbing of the own office colleagues might have been thought as James bond being somewhat too eager or anxiuos to protect and deliver, but might not mean that the superiors also looked at it in a positive way, which was evident by the reactions of even James bond being tracked by the one and only 'M', the british secter services MI6's head played wonderfully as usual by Judy Dench and a series of warnings issued to the only secret agent, who was saved mysteriously by either a 006 or someone not known when in captivity of the rouge trader and terrorist funder played by LA Chieffe. The plot of the movie shifted from tackling evil from the perspective of funding of the same (rather than the direct confrontation of the Bond going to a Russian or a serbian mainland for a rescue mission or some sort of oil or gas pipeline threat as displayed in previous movies), and the involvement of the stock market as well as the happenings in the market to siphon out money for the same. It brings into light a newer form of terrorism funding mechanism, which was found as being driven by abnormal activities that had happened in the stock markets or are left untracked. It also displays the sheer compulsion as well as stupidity of the evil in the movie named LA Chieffe (spellings might not be absolutely correct), when he creates a plot to reck the stock of a newly introduced jet dreamliner, which would have increased the profitability of the same company, by looking to make the company suffer by massive shorting of the stock and hoping to create a "market hysteria", achieved by panic selling as induced by a terrorist plot to blow up the same, which was what was "heroically with a bit of exaggeration of events (movie correct), as always, was handled by James Bond played by Daniel Craig", and the plotter finds himself on the wrong side of the terrorists whose money he was looking to increase via this event and ends up organizing the "Royal Casino", game the winnings of which are again, with a near death experience of James Bond as well as "helpless love of the leading bond accountant girl", is saved and brought back to the good, with the ultimate result of the Bond learning his lessons of "Not trusting anybody, and chasing of ghosts and shadows", with all the bond movie fanfare and erotic romance built around it. LA Chieffe, being stupid as well as compulsive because of the sheer compulsion (was not allowed to exit the game in the last round) and personal rivalry that LA Chieffe develops against bond in going on with the final round of the casino game when he had his financer killed by bond himself (and had no way to know about the same) which is again a dramatization of displying the bad as not having a second line of defence. Probably there might be a newer bond movie based on some currently faced crisis particularly the middle-east which also might find a good number of audience in the International Movie scene. All in all a good movie with the absence of newer not that sophisticated "Bond Gadgets particularly the Bond Car and absence of the legendary scientist 'Q', might be the only downside to the movie, which makes it even more closer to reality."
