About this title: After a rural early childhood during which she was regularly beaten by her father, and found comfort only with the horses on her family's farm, Nell Tiscowitz is understandably obsessed with horses. For a good part of her teen years, she seems convinced that she is a horse, which she somehow manages to pull off while attending school and getting to know her fellow students. During this time, she also meets with psychiatrists.
