"I doubt I can add anything to the public's praise for both Keneally's book and the movie version of the story. As with all adapted screenplays, the movie takes some liberties; e.g., there really was no list, but this is easily forgiven, as the end result was a significant saving of lives. The story -- and doubtless, the movie -- would have been improved if Keneally's efforts to interview Schindler's wife had been successful. It wasn't until after the book and movie were complete that the significant part that Schindler's wife played in the overall drama was revealed."
