"I am an Ann Sothern fan - so perhaps that colors my perception - however, all of these cast members gave great performances - I was told that Lillian Gish was 102 when she starred in this film, with Bette Davis many years after she suffered a major stroke on the set of the tv series "hotel" - and Ann Sothern many years after she badly injured her back when a set fell on her during a live performance. Vincent Price and Harry Carey Jr. as well gave great performances, and so great to see Vincent in a non-horror role.
Tisha Sterling, Ann Sothern's real life daughter, also has a cameo or two as playing "tisha" (Ann Sothern's character) when young.
I really enjoy the great scenery in the movie each time, as it is cast in Maine - as well as the great acting - each member adds so much to their characters, and one feels that nothing is left to chance in the movie - each little point means something."
