About this title: In this Australian action comedy, Texas and Alby (Joseph Bottoms and Grigor Taylor) mostly work as roustabouts at carnivals, but they are bored with the kind of work they do and take to the road together, looking for some fun and adventure. They are picked up in a beautiful green Corvette owned by a well-heeled man named Arnold (John Clayton). "I loved this movie as a kid, i remember wagging school to go and see it. it represented to me at the time all the freedom one could have if you just had a car, especially if it was a corvette - yeah!
I would like to see it again 30 years on - i still sing the high rollin theme song to this very day, yet i haven't heard it in decades. it was a life changer for me. right up there with Rocky Horror and grease.
