"If there is one thing annoying about reading Baldacci is his obsession with how TALL his characters are. In every book that I have read so far the main antagonist/hero is amazingly tall. And in this book, the female is also tall. This has become a little annoying albeit humorous in an odd way. I enjoy reading this kind of book when I am in the mood to read 'light' literature. This plot line does not compare to The Camel Club series which is the best books I've read of Baldacci's."
"Michelle tries to kill a man in a bar. Sean brings her home from the hospital and gets her some help from his psychiatrist friend. Then he gets a job as a PI at Babbage Town, a super think tank where a man is found dead across the river at the CIA stronghold. Did he commit suicide as the CIA claims, or was he murdered? Soon another man dies. Michelle joins up with Sean, and the shrink comes along to help Michelle and the daughter of one of the dead men."
"I gave this one a two only because David Baldacci writes very well, even when his storylines aren't that great. It was so melodramatic, and I didn't beleive for a second that Michelle, who was so interesting and strong in the first one, would fall apart like that; it was a total change in character, and very random, and it just wasn't what I was expecting, especially because there was no indication in the other two books that she would even remotely be that messed up in the head. I really, really enjoyed the first in the series, but Hour Game left me slightly disappointed (really only because of the ending, I think), and Simple Genius was almost a complete waste. But because it's only 'almost', if he writes another one, I'll probably give it a shot...but if that one was as disappointing as this, I'm done (only with the series, not the author ^-^)"
"I picked up this book at a retreat at Joe Wheeler State Park with some friends of mine a couple of weeks ago. One of the ladies brought a bunch of books and was giving them away. As I read it, I recalled the main characters from another book I read a long time ago, but can't remember what it is. I'll have to do some checking up on this. It was an entertaining read but, in terms of reading any others in the series (which I'm assuming there are) I can "take-it-or-leave-it"."
