"Nette Geschichte über einen Dämonen, der seine Seelegefährtin findet.
Reiht sich nahtlos ein in die Vielzahl der Fantasy trifft Chick-lit Bücher. Dieses mal ist wenigstens kein Vampir der Hauptprotagonist. Langsam wird das nämlich verdammt langweilig.
Die Beziehung des Pärchens ist gut beschrieben und der Typ wenigstens keins der typischen (und gähnend langweiligen) Alphamännchen. Leider hat die Autorin das Potential, das die Geschichte hat nicht ausschöpfen können. Es gibt eindeutig zuviele Sexszenen. So schlecht ist Geschichte doch gar nicht, dass man sie damit aufpeppen müsste. Eher im Gegenteil.
Die Geschichte hat leider ein paar unglaubliche Wendungen zuviel, so dass es zum Schluss ordentlich an Glaubwürdigkeit mangelt. Eher als hätte die Autorin sich eine Rahmenhandlung ausgedacht und kam dann auf die Idee aus allen möglichen anderen Büchern dieses Genres Handlungsstränge zu klauen.
Mit etwas mehr Fähigkeiten der Autorin und etwas bessere Hilfestellung seitens des Verlages/Editors hätte dieses Geschichte etwas richtig Gutes werden können. So geht es leider im Einheitsbrei des Genres unter. Schade!"
"I started this book thinking that I would like it, but I never expected to found another awesome series. This book was so good that I couldn't stop with it until it was over.
I loved this book. The bond between Bella and Jacob was so strong and sweet that I felt like sentimental the whole time I was reading this book.
And this new world of druids and Demonds! so good. Also I felt like I wanted to know more about the other characters. I loved this book and I can't wait to read the nexts. If you have this book on your TBR pile swith it to currently reading . LOL"
"A wonderful turn for paranormal romance with the Nightwalker series! Well-written with great character development. I keep coming back to reread these and always find myself completely engrossed. Jacob is the Enforcer (read, cop) for the Demon race, dealing out punishment on those Demons who would expose them to, or harm, humans. Isabella, a human librarian in NYC, literally falls into his arms before inexplicably leading him to his target that evening. Not being able to leave the mystery of Isabella's latent talent alone, he takes her to his home where together, with the Demon king and help from other Nightwalker races, they must unravel the treasonous actions of someone in the Demon court."
"Two things stood out in this novel - the mythology and the slow building of the relationship. Both of these factors have made me a fan of this series!
Nightwalkers are demons. However, these demons are not inherently evil but not completely good either, it's only when they are summoned do they turn into the monster humans are familiar with. (Even though they like to fight wars that last hundreds of years and cause mass genocide, which makes them very similar to humans and they don't like that...)
What really drew me in was the slow building relationship between the characters. It wasn't all "you're my soul mate now lets have sex." They get to know each other even though they both feel the strong pull to stay together.
I also really liked that Bella was given cool fighting abilities. I'm just not a fan of super-powerful alpha males and weak-willed damsels-in-distress."
