"OK, so my friend had the first 4 books so I read them all super quick - whatever. This was the best of the series so far primarily because Master Chief isn't in it at all. This book occurs at the same time of the 2nd game. I don't want to go into too much detail, but this is a completely original story of different secret black ops converging together and Dr. Halsey and the other Spartans (yes there are a few others) finding other forerunner complexes."
