In the time of Pharaoh Nefer Seti, son of Tamose1(Memnon)and grandson of Tanus (her lover) and Queen Lostris, ( married to Pharaoh Mamose 8th).
The blue war crown of the Pharaoh is a tall helmet called Khepresh. On the brow (the uraeus)are the entwined heads of the cobra and the vulture, the symbols of the Upper and Lower Kingdoms. It had flanged sidepieces adorned with pure gold. The golden flails crossed over the pharaoh's chest were the symbols of justice and punishment. The tall red and white crown of the two kingdoms was called The Mighty One, Pschent."
"I love Wilbur Smith's books. But not this one. I rarely put a book down, let alone throw it away, but this one went in the trash at Canyon De Chelly. Unworthy."
"I love Wilbur Smith! Likely my favorite author and this book did not disappoint. If you haven't read any of his works, pick one up - well worth it for anyone."
"The Quest is a sequel to The River God, The Seventh Scroll and Warlock. In this book Taita must seek out a powerful new sourceress who has dried up the Nile River, destroying Egypt, in an attempt to take over as the one true Goddess and representitive of the Lie (devil). It is an engaging tale full of magic, fantasy, reincarnation, love and war but I believe it was about a hundred pages too long. Overall, a satisfying read with a good ending."
