"I worked through about eight of the painting projects in Mary Todd Beam's lovely book. Her paintings are beautiful and mostly nonrepresentational, and I wish I could have really seen them. The projects probably aren't for the beginner, and not all the projects show her work as an end result. I suspect many of the examples come from students in her workshops. Still, I learned lots about the process of doing this sort of painting, and I had a good time."
"This is a great book , has lots of inspiring ideas and useful technical tips. As a teacher and artist for quite some time, I found lots of interesting ideas and wonderful images in this book. Certainly worth having on the book shelf for yourself and others."
