"I just finished reading The Cattle On a Thousand Hills, finding it very interesting historically. I am a Southern California history addict (Ventura County) and found this to fill in information where some other history accounts left off or omitted altogether. The period of the book is during the time my family first came to Ojai. The information on banditoes in the "Crime and Justice in the Frontier" was particularly intriguing."
