About this title: A vampire warrior who yearns for death...Three hundred years ago, Sebastian Wroth's brothers forced him to become a vampire-a nightmare in his mind. Shamed and alone for ages, he longs to die. Until an exquisite creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead. A beautiful assassin dispatched to destroy him...When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow-accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters the vampire with his grave eyes, her feelings-particularly lust-emerge multiplied. For the ...

Description: BRAND NEW PAPERBACK. 384 pages. No rest for the wicked is the second book in her steamy vampire paranormal series which started with a hunger like no other. (Paperback) read more
"As usual, I loved Cole's male characters (vampire, demon or werewolf-- it's all good) and only managed to vaguely like most of her female characters this time around. Maybe it's just that all of them act too hip or are trying too hard or talk in some weird way in order to try to seem cool. It's just not doing it for me.
So I just can't quite love them though, and I really do want to. And I almost did this time only she made the guy go through hell and jump through too many hoops.
Kaderin, at least, had more motivation to act the way she did, and had moments of awesomeness. Emma from the first book wasn't so bad either but she was a bit more wishy-washy.
This won't prevent me from reading the rest of this series though. What can I say? Somehow, in spite of everything, I'm hooked on them. And I need to see what happens with Sebastian's brothers. Damn him for having three!"
"No Rest for the Wicked is the second book in the Immortals After Dark series. I really don't know what to make of this series. The main issue I had with A Hunger Like No Other wasn't a problem here. Sebastian wasn't a psychotic alpha borderline rapist jackass like Lachlain so I didn't hate him. Unfortunately, I didn't like him either. I kind of nothinged him. Same with Kaderian. And their romance. It was all just so blah. I wish the author would drop all this fated mate junk and actually develop a real romance. Aside from the characters and the romance, I did enjoy this book. I'm still loving the world building and the plot was nifty. I'm not sure if I'll read another book in this series. The later books in this series get really good review so I may have to give it one more try."
This is a super popular PNR series that readers are crazy about. So I must be the only person on the planet to say, this is just not my cup of tea.
The mixture of vampires, Valkyries, gnome and little supernatural creatures ... plus the scavenger hunt theme of this book ... and the Valkyrie sisters ... just don't do anything for me."
