"This book is so good, it will become the staple of my kitchen. I thought I made a good panini already, until I tried several recipes from this book. The book is not, however, just about paninis - it has the recipes for base pestos, chapters on Bruschetta and Trammezinis, wine ideas - the list goes on. The most helpful idea is to use ciabatta rolls as your panini bread, because you can chop the tops off and use them as brushetta, etc. Marvelous book. It is less than 12 hours old on my shelf, and it is already dripping with olive oil."
"While I don't have a Panini Press (hint for Santa next year) I did make some pretty sweet combinations with a frying pan and an old school bacon press.
The 'Soppressata, Fontina, and Arugula Panini' was just as good as the picture looked. And the 'Mozzarella, Basil Pesto, and Peperonata Panini'... where has that combination been all my life!? I can't even imagine the taste from a real Panini Press.
For those who don't feel sandwiches the way I do, there are also recipes for Bruschetta and Frittata in the back.
