"Walker a marine who left service after a good friend of his died during one of their runs. Walker believes he should have been the one who died instead f his young friend. He returns home to Seattle to possibly find himself when he unexpectedly runs into his neighbor, Elissa, who he can tell needs help. Elissa, is a single mom on the run from an ex and desperately trying to make ends meet to support herself and her 5 year old daughter, Zoe. What I particularly liked about this book was that the entire Buchanan family (which the series is based upon) are in the story and is not just focused on the growing romance between Walker and Elissa."
