Insight beyond what one would imagine. It is a fast read (5-10 minutes) but definitely worth getting picked up. Life lessons by someone who obviously knows life and the creative side of it specifically.
You will want to read it over and over and over.... it's just 5 to 10 minutes anyway!"
"Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite is an uninspiring motivational book by Paul Arden. Each page has a statement (and sometimes an image) to make you rethink the way you think. However, I found it to be a bunch of baloney. For instance, Arden asserts that you should not attend college: "If you start work at 18, you are five years ahead of someone starting at 23." How is that good advice for someone who wants to be an architect or a doctor or a school teacher?
Here's another disappointing gem from Arden: "If you want to be in a job where they won't accept you, just turn up." Yes, I'm sure that corporations would be thrilled to have declined applicants just show up for work. Security would escort you out of the building immediately.
The book is so short that I read it in less than half an hour. But I suggest you save yourself that half an hour and find a book that is truly inspiring."
