"Different than the Elvis Cole series, less humor. This reads more like his other stand alone thrillers especially Demolition Angel, ie more like a police procedural (at times this felt more like a Michael Connelly novel). Characters were interesting, and the plot moved along, though the ending seemed a little rushed but on the up side, Crais gives the reader some credit to determine exactly what happened without having to spell everything out again at the end."
