"The book was touted (by the authors) as an improvement over Cohen's 1977 comprehensive work on power analysis. Unfortunately for Kramer, Cohen's revision was published in 1988. The Kramer effort covers only a small portion of the material and is neither easier to use nor more comprehensible than that which it purports to replace. Admittedly, Cohen's book is a hard read but well worth the effort. Kramer's work serves little additional purpose for those interested in power analysis"
