"It's very interesting to look through & get ideas from. Their style of building is completely different than the Western style. Many of he pieces seem to go for style over utility or comfort, a philosophy I disagree with. Proportions are different & joinery often looks to be close to impossible. An amazing amount of work goes into many of the pieces & wood selection would be of paramount importance since some of the designs are so intricate that many species wouldn't support it. It's very interesting to look through, especially when comparing it to various Western pieces that are similar. I can see where different types of working methods & tools are needed."
