"This is a second fabulous resource to have with you when you visit Panama. Provides vital information for getting around each of Panama's various provinces."
"I'm leaving this on my Currently Reading shelf for now, but I'm going to go ahead and write a review. This book is SO MUCH better than the Lonely Planet that I am kind of in shock. I am a total Lonely Planet junky/devotee, and I never believed that any other guide books could really and truly be better. I was wrong! I think I might be a Moon Handbook convert. Moon Handbooks have treated Panama like it's a real place to visit--the LP is about half the size, and really skims over some stuff. William Friar, the author, is a wealth of information. He actually grew up in Panama, so he knows it like the back of his hand. He gives clear, concise, and complete information about places (well, I'm assuming--I haven't actually been to Panama yet). He is a great writer, and I am even reading all the history parts. The sidebars are great. My only problem with this edition is that it's so old that prices are way wrong. I'm hoping that's the only part that's way wrong! The new edition is coming out later this year."
