"I haven't read every word of this yet, but already I can tell you that every parent should read it. Although, it's pretty extreme (he says to get all the sugar out of your house), he definitely knows what he's talking about. He basically takes the same principles from "Eat to Live" and applies it to children. Great resource! And he includes quite a few kid friendly recipes."
"Fuhrman, who also has a book on adult nutrition, argues that studies such as the Framingham China study show that individuals who have a lifelong diet low in meat and dairy products have much lower incidents of disease. He includes recipes and suggestions for feeding your kids a more plant-based diet. He describes a diet somewhat close to how I eat, but I'm not sure how to wean my son from his processed meat and macaroni and cheese!"
"it is great to know that kid's tastebuds can be changed (although 8-15 samples per food can be a long time). i have a non-veggie kid at home and this gives me the courage to re-establish some more healthy eating habits at home (i even got my husband on board with it)"
"Ok I really wanted to like this book, but I didn't even finish it. So maybe I should be reviewing it. But I made it to the recipes and flipped through from there. Essentially it was telling me to make my children vegetarians... I can't do it, its not a lifestyle we can commit to. My son loves his meat but I believe at this point in his age he eats what he needs."
