"This was one of my favorite library books as a child. I see it's still available, so I'm hoping to pick it up for my daughter soon. The illustrations are very cool, and it crams a huge amount of information into a children's book. It's an easy and rewarding read for interested adults, as well."
"I loved reading out loud this book with my 5year old and 9 year old. The illustrations are fantastic. Very simple. Done with just colored pencil but they are quite striking. The stories are also very engaging and can lead to great discussions with your kids about the past. The last chapter though was a bit of a disappointment after the great apocalyptic chapter that came before."
