About this title: 41 years ago, when coming to Chicago I never thought my life would be plagued with mental illness. I thought to myself, I am stuck with this illness, and I must deal with it, and deal with it I did. Upon being discharged from the hospital on a Friday. I would go to work on a Monday. (I mostly worked as a waitress at the time) Little did I know at that time, that work was my saving grace. I continue to work now as a caregiver, and I am happy to say my illness is in remission.
