Metzger & co. arranged this volume as a companion to the Nestle-Aland editions of the Greek New Testament. The hope is that the book would shed light on how the committee chose various readings over others. In shedding light, it succeeds sometimes. Other times, it's literally of no help. Still, a must have if you're interested in New Testament textual criticism."
