"Fireheart is now Firestar, leader of the thundercats, and has to deal with the biggest threat ever--unfortunately, both the threat of ruthless city cats, and most of the book, falls a bit flat after the excellent 5th book. Firestar receiving his 9 lives is the high point--his mature friendship with Cinderpelt as well as his love of Sandstorm are well-handled. The sudden threat of dozens of city cats moving in at the end never generates the kind of interest that the slowly-developed story of Tigerclaw/star did. Not too bad of a book, but not one that held my interest."
Although I was really disappointed that Firestar wasn't the one to defeat Tigerstar. I was looking forward to that match earlier. ): 'twas very gory indeed, but I don't mind that kind of thing. I mean, they're cats and their only weapon are their claws and teeth. It was a cute book (at times). :3 I like that Firestar and Sandstorm get to be with each other.
Like I said, great book and I'll never look at my cat the same way again without seeing him in some sort of warrior pose."

My connection to this book is that Firestar has to take a huge responcibility. He doesn't know if he can. I get that same feeling when I feel that I have the entire world on my shoulders. It is very hard.
I would give this book five stars!! I love this entire series and it keeps getting more and more exciting. As well as sad. It is so descriptive and so much fun to read. I love this book!!!"
