"I took my time reading this book. It was a little old fashion in the reading for a vampire book but I truely enjoyed it. It wasn't full of sexual scenes but it was full of love and the desire between each character.
The story begins with a 300 year old vampire named Roshan who has kept up with the time has the years have changed, he has educated himself with computers and reading and collecting many books. He has pasion for reading about witch craft and finds and falls in love with a photo of a witch named "Brenna" who was acused of witch craft and burned at the stake.
Roshan goes back in time and rescues her while the fire is burning her at the stake in 1962 on All Hallow's Eve. You can imagine her surprise when she learns that she has been brought to the future. Roshan is gental with her and controls his desires to take her and take her blood. However over time, their pasion grows stronger and stronger until they finally make love but he does not turn her into a vampire.
Roshan wants to give her what ever she wants except he can not give her a child and he wants to make sure Brenna is aware of this and aware of how he has to live before he can make any kind of commitment to her. Brenna is so in love with Roshan that they agree to get married in a church at nite.
There are other witches in this centrys time who are craving to find vampires so they can obtain their blood and find a way to convert themselves to live for eternity like the vampires do and have the power to always heal themselves.
The only friend that Brenna makes in her short time living there before planning a wedding is a witch she met a book store. Brenna ask this witch to stand up for her at her wedding and the witch agrees, however, afterwards, the witch says she bought a cake and some champaign to celerbrate the ocasion but it was back at her book store. Roshan and Brenna had no idea it was a trap when they get there.
Roshan is captured by a warlock with metal chains and Brenna was given a sleeping potion that was slipped into her drink. While held captive, blood was drawn from Roshan into viles and then the warlock took and inserted the blood into Brenna to see if she would turn into a vampire. To the warlocks surprise, the effect worked but he had no idea that it only worked temporarly.
Roshan escapes his bondage and rescues Brenna but then the witch pack comes to their home and summons Brenna out of the house by use of the witch magick. To test the warlocks mixture, they cut Brenna and she heals but they still want more proof so they cut her again. The head witch and the warlock fight over the power of the only vile left with the vampires blood in it and the head witch pulls a gun on the warlock. The warlock bluffs the head witch to come get it and as she comes forward to get it, the warlock pulls a knife out and stabs the head witch in the heart, however the gun the head witch was holding fires off a shot that hits Brenna in the side.
When Roshan wakes from his sleep he notices that his wife is not there in the house any where and sinces where she is at. Roshan gets to the warlocks house and finds him standing over Brenna with the gun pointing at her head but before the warlock could make a move, Roshan is on him so fast that he feeds the last vile into the warlock and the blood in the vile kills the warlock. Once again Brenna is rescued.
Only thing is, Brenna is dieing and the only thing Roshan can do is save her because he could not imagine living life with out her so he turns her into a vampire.
After finding out that she was turned into a vampire and settleing down into the routine, they go out to do their hunting to feed. When they are walking down an alley they hear a scream and there is a young teenager giving birth in a dumpster. Immediately Roshan and Brenna render aid but after birthing the young girl leaves the baby with them, so Roshan and Brenna end up with a baby to raise.
It was a happy ending story and everyone is content with their new lives."
