"Bone #9: Crown of Horns, is about Bone a character in the book and he is supposed to save the world from the locusts so that the world doesn't crumble. The main character is Bone and the setting is in the city. Bone's main internal conflict is that he is having a hard time trying to find the crown of thorns. His external conflict is him dealing with the locusts.
When I read this book I made a text-to-self connection. When Bone is trying to find the crown of thorns its reminds me when was trying to find my Playstation 1 that I lost. When I was little I lost my Playstation 1 and I had to find out. After a couple of days I finally found it. Bone also lost the Crown of Thorns and he needed to find it in order to safe the world. Both of our problems are related, they both have something to do on something being lost.
I would give this book a 2 out of 5, because there wasn't a lot of detail in the book and it bored me a a lot. There was a lot of action in the book and it made me want to read more. I would recommand this book to anyone who is a fan of action books and a fan of a lot of comics."
"Reprints Bone #50-55. The Bones, Gran'ma Ben, Thorn, Lucius, and the Red Dragon have their final battle with the Lord of the Locust for the fate of the Valley and the world. The last Bone book is bittersweet in that it is sad to see the series end (although now Smith is talking about some post "Bone" series). The book tries to mix in as much humor as possible which is difficult because of serious nature of the story arc. It does feel fulfilling to finish the series and doesn't feel like it didn't live up to the expectations. It was especially effective if you read the comics and spent years with the characters."
