"A true to form James Patterson novel. Alex Cross hold you captive with all the twists and turns of his life and work as an FBI agent. Chasing one horrific bad guy after the other. This one kept ee guessing, and still I wasn't able to predict the ending. A++ A great read."
"I was stunned by this book. It was the first Patterson-book I ever read, so maybe that explains it. I flew through it like a knife through butter like they say here. Very short chapters, no difficult plot lines to follow (I expected that, being used to reading Clancy and considering the subject), nothing really special. Two days (evenings) it took me to read it. It was a quick read, nothing special, not challenging at all. The content did not stay with me for a long time: I had to read the back of the cover to remember (!).
The idea of someone bombing 4 major cities in the world when his demands are not met is in itself not a bad idea. The way the story was told however, in combination with the ending that the Wolf was finally killed, after two distractions with some leaps in thought / action that I could not quite follow, made it a disappointing reading experience to me. Like I said: this was the first Patterson I read and I think it'll be my last one too."
"Meh. Was an okay day on the beach book, but otherwise, I doubt I'll be reading any more Alex Cross books. Very unsatisfying. We learned nothing about the bad guys, why they did what they did, and the plot was frankly not remotely believable. I'm quite willing to suspend my disbelief, but you've gotta put the work in, and this book just didn't."
