"I enjoyed "Phoenix and Ashes" so much I had to read the entire series (haven't done #1 yet). Though they are consective in time, each stands on it's own, but were written with common characters.
"Amazing! My favourite in the series. Much much darker than the other Elemental Masters books. I really really liked the darkness. I thought the historical context really helped add to the plot and the tone of the story. I loved Eleanor and Reggie. Allison was one of the best (or rather evilest) villains in the Lackey books I've read. I really enjoyed this book. Probably going to buy it."
"I love this world. I love the characters. I love the magic. I love the period. I love the fairy tales. I love the villains. Boom de yada, boom de yada...
I picked this up and didn't put it down much until I was done, later the same day."
"This was overall a very enjoyable book with good character development and good pacing. Just fast enough to keep you interested, but slow enough to allow you to absorb the plot. I also love how she retold the Cinderella story. You can definitely see all the elements so familiar in the Cinderella story, but with really nice twists to fit it into this story."
