"First of all, let me say that this is a much more interesting book than the title lets on. The history of milk, modern farming practices (which special attention given to pasteurization and homogenization), the "swill milk" of the past, the benefits of raw dairy, and how big business and the government are involved with the dairy industry are all topic covered. The book is slow at times and goes into some detail regarding certain chemical reaction, enzymes, and proteins found in milk and why raw is better than pasteurized. After reading it, I switched over to raw and I love it. I don't handle pasteurized dairy well but have no problems with raw. Being in the wellness industry, I always encourage my clients to do their own research and make their own decisions when it comes to their health. Read the book and decide so yourself whether the powers that be have worked to keep you healthy or make more money."
