"The premise of this book really intrigued me: an Italian tour guide telling stories of American tourists. There were some interesting and bizarre stories and it gave me a better background of Chianti history but as an American who lived overseas for 9 years and has seen some bizarre American behavior, I didn't quite connect with the title. Perhaps it was because I've only been to Chianti once. I do know that if I go again, I will be able to appreciate the region more because of the history I learned in this book."
"This is a quick, amusing, read. I am dreaming of going to Italy next year, and trying to get a feel of where to go and a good time of year. Having experience working in a tourism business before I can empathize with Dario quite a bit. He does a great job weaving the stories of all of his adventures together into a smooth book."
