"Genre-exploding satirical romance novel from three female points of view. Yes there are fantastic (as in fantasy) and convincingly ridiculous boy friends throughout, but the true romance is in the near holographic evocation of some cinematic women able to connect despite their differences in backgrounds, politics, and taste. Jazzier Jane Austen, with much more conscious social consciousness and a Wildean ability to sprinkle quoteworthy wit throughout."
"Didn't get very far into this book either. It's futuristic by maybe 20-50 years. The author says the 1/4 of American population is Hispanic and that everything is bilingual. It just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not racist but I have a big problem with people entering this country illegally and expecting the world from us."
"Another $1 book from the Clearance shelf. I really liked that the book jumped around to each character's perspective. And there were some good pop culture digs. In the end though, I only read it a few weeks ago and I can't think of anything in particular that stuck out for me."
"I didn't know I was in the mood for Chick Lit until an hour into this one. Compelling for those of us who can tolerate talk of mani-pedis, handbags, and light erotica. Along with too many others of this genre, expect an extra heavy dose of cheesiness in the end."
