"Since I've been working full time and in school full time, the books I read must be fully captivating and not boring at all. Thus, most of the books I have read over the last few years deal with either baseball or the Yankees. This book is no different and is an incredible read. It chronicles the night the Yankees dynasty died (Nov 4, 2001). While this game didn't end the way I would have liked, it remains to be the capstone of one of the best World Series I have ever seen and maybe in baseball history."
"I liked this book better than Torre's because it was more organized and there was a coherent storyline woven through it. He painted a picture of each of the characters and the book unfolded over Game 7 of the 2001 worldd series.
I think my favorite story was about Jeter and how much fun he has on the field. It's also been interesting to read this book while watching this last series and thinking about all the changes that's happened since then."
"My favorite sports book ever, which was unexpected as I'm a diehard Yankees fan and this book touches their fall from grace. Buster Olney is a premier national reporter who happened to covered the Yankees for the New York Times first. The book goes beyond the field, into several arenas such as scouting as organizational politics."
"WAT I LEARNED WAS THE YANKEES HAVE WON LOT'S OF GAMES BUT NOT EVERYTHING WENT OKAY THE START TO LOSE CUZ OF THE GUY JOE TORRE.PEOPLE START TO BLAME THE YANKEES ABOUT THE PROBLEM OR ISSUE. I WOULD SAY THE YANKEES ARE WACK TEAM B/C THEY DIDN'T GO TO THE WORLD SERIES OR PLAYOFFS.I THINK MANY PEOPLE VOTE FOR BOTON RED SOXS AND OBAMA TEAM!
