"Obviously the real test of this guide will come when I actually get to Ecuador, but it seems to maintain the typically excellent standard of the Rough Guide series. Anyone planning a trip should also note that Volcan Tungurahua has erupted violently since the publication of this edition (stated as Jan 2007, although the eruption began Sept 2006), affecting travel in the surrounding area (but apparently not Banos)."
