"Great book for developing a home strength training program with limited equipment. Only problem is that the illustrations are not always enough to understand the directions."
"I've read the entire book in segments over the last 4-5 years. This book is always in my gym bag. I am not that fond of weight machines. They are OK but I don't love them. What I do like is the strength and resistance I get from free weights. It's me and the dumbbells trying to make me lean and beefcake.
The author provides a weight training workout routine(recipe)for 30 days. Each exercise has a detailed description of how to perform the exercise properly. The routine is clear and precise and there is no fumbling through pages.
The best part of this book is that all of these exercises can be performed in the privacy of your own home. You don't need any fancy equipment or need to go to the gym to listen and grunting men. If you are into grunting men you can take this book with you to the gym and grunt too.
The workouts don't even take 30 minutes. After my cardio workout I open the book and perform the recipe for the day and it's done. This book makes it so simple to lift weights.
What is a recipe? The author calls the set of exercises a recipe. One recipe per day. The recipe gives you the exercise # and you go to that number in the book to find out how to perform the exercise.
