About this title: Dark secrets and painful memories resurface in this thriller by bestselling author Harlan Coben. When Grace Lawson picks up a recently developed set of photographs, she is surprised to find a photo of her husband from 20 years ago in the set. But that is nothing to her husband's reaction when he sees the photo: he promptly vanishes. As Grace embarks upon an increasingly dangerous search for her husband, she is also forced to confront a traumatic event from her own past--a riot at a rock concert that left her with a limp.

"Not as fast-moving as some other Harlan Coben books I've read. Actually took a few chapters to really get going. This must be one of his earlier ones.
This book does its genre justice, without transcending it in any way. The characters are stock and the plot devices will make you slap your forehead if you think about them much. I don't know about you, but I don't read thrillers for their originality and character development anyway. Like the enchilada dinner at your favorite neighborhood Tex-Mex place, "Just One Look" is reasonably satisfying if it's what you're in the mood for."
"In Just One Look a surburan mom's life is dramatically changed by a photo that doesn't belong in her latest set of prints. The photo is her only clue when her husband is missing, but later leads to her children being threatened. It is a well-told, gripping story, but the many coincidences that the Harlan Coben brings together make it not very likely. I certainly didn't figure out "who did it" before Coben explained it and he mananged to explain all the odd facts so that there were no loose ends. If it were a movie I would rate it PG for a few sexual implications and some violence."
"I have not read a Harlan Coben book before. Now I will know that if I begin reding one of his novels, I can forget doing anything else: I will not be able to pull myself away to feed the dog or mow the lawn, vacuum or even prepare a meal. What a grabber!!!!! The twists and turns are remarkable.
As the PEOPLE review on the back cover says," The only plausible reason for setting down the book is to make sure your front door is locked and double bolted."
Many of the characters are a special brand of evil though there are examples of real goodness also. Just know that if you read this one, you will not fall asleep with the book in your hand."
"A convicted hit man suddenly confesses to a 20 year murder - the slaying of a district attorneys sister. Why he chose this moment to reveal his secret, he refuses to reveal. A buisnessman tries to go on the run from his family home when an old photograph turns up in a new roll of film - a photograph of him as a young man. But on leaving his house, he is snatched by a vicious, trained killer and bundled into the back of a waiting car. These things are linked, ut by what, or whom, no one knows. What is known is that the past is coming back to haunt the present. And people are getting hurt."
