"Sent back to the library before finishing. I wanted to glean some bits of truth from this book. I always read with a view towards discerning truth from untruth. But the way this fellow went on and on about how his information consisted of "secrets" held onto for generations by "masters" who didn't want to share except with a few disciples, and how he had to beg, repeatedly, to study from a particular "master" along his path for knowledge... it sounded like a fantasy novel after a while. Perhaps there are aspects of Chinese culture that would have helped me understand where he was coming from? Maybe I'll look at it again, later, but maybe not."
