Caroline Kennedy and Ellen Alderman address each of the Bills one at a time using actual court cases within our judicial system to illustrate how each Bill has protected the rights of ordinary citizens. I originally checked this book out from the library, read it, and after reading it, loved it so much that I ordered my own copy and read it again years later because understanding the law and the fundamentals that our judicial system are based upon really fascinate me, especially seeing how the Bill of Rights have been used to actually protect and defend citizens, in effect, seeing our laws work for the GOOD of the people."
