"An interesting idea pieced together by an expert at translating Sumerian into English, but no Astronomer with any kind of PhD has ever taken the idea seriously."
"Genesis Revisited by Zecharia Sitchin. This is a followup book to the 7-volume Earth Chronicles and other tomes, which I have now read. I was thoroughly impressed by Sitchin's love of the old testament and the original Hebrew, comparing it to the root words of Sumerian, Akkadian and Babylonian. My Amplified and concordance got a new workout. Fascinating. Basically, Sitchin's works are a compendium of the many unearthed clay tablets and stone works, which have been translated over a 150-year span; complete credit with annotations given in every instance of where the relics are and who did the translations. This book (plus all the others) have liberated my thought process, validated many ideas I've had for the last 40 years, and sparked my brain anew."
"this book is the most compelling read that could also be considered to be written by a quack. Stichin claims that humans are a hybrid species developed by an alien life form thousands of years ago. Build originally as slaves to work gold mines in Africa, we were eventually left on our own. He describes a planetary collision with a planet of our solar system that has a 3000 year solar orbit that created earth and the asteroid belt. There is much, much more where that comes from. But again, it's strangely compelling and is fun to contemplate and talk about while being total conjecture at the same time."
