"Wonderful alternative (and addition to) standard pain treatments. The whole concept of "give a man a fish" or "teach a man to fish" certainly applies to this book. You can come up with temporary solutions or surgeries that help or (using this book) get to the root of the problem, fix it, and make your whole body healthier. "This book reviews women's needs for movement throughout the lifespan, with specific exercises for each age group. Seems a bit brief for those post-menopause, yet comprehensive for all others. The theme of "getting out of the box" of modern living and into a full range of movement to keep our bodies aligned and strong is a good one, with lots of cheerleading about the need to do the exercises everyday. I'm using it- and benefiting from it. If you have specific health problems, the earlier Pain Free book is probably the place to start, but this one is great for everyday women's health."
