"Good tale, same group of "heros" with another naval mystery to research and prevent. Generally well-written series and this book is a fine member of that family.
"This book introduces the villain who later appears in Scimitar SL-2. A former SAS Commando who joins Hamas. He and his wife and a crew are on the loose on a submarine in the oceans of the world, with a plan to bring America to her knees. As usual, Robinson combines intelligence gathering, political arm-wrestling and daring SEAL Black Ops for a great story. He makes you believe that the Panama Canal could really be blown up by a SEAL team to expose a rogue sub. The one line that surprised me was when Shakira asked to be a crew member on the sub, and Ravi said, 'Might I remind you that no woman has ever served on board a submarine, not in any Navy, anywhere in the world? No one has ever dared to recruit them to serve in submarines.' For an author like Robinson, who considers himself an expert and does such thorough research, I'm surprised that he is unaware that Canada, Norway, and Australia all currently have female submariners serving."
