About this title: A bright boy named Spoon takes full advantage of the opportunity when a scholarship to a Connecticut prep school gives him the chance to leave his Harlem neighborhood. "This book was wonderful to me it was full of action and was something I could relate to. The book is about a boy who is accepted into a academy and leaves his girlfriend back home to attend the academy. When he comes back home things have gone from good to bad. His girlfriend is using drugs and Gabi also loses ma relative. Anthony makes it all better at the end by being strong. I liked this book and recommend it to young teenagers who love to read."
"I was really hoping that this book was going to be better. There was a good story to it, but it just took to long to get to the climax i thought. It was a pretty quick read but it was just sort of boring to me."
"i am currently reading this and so far so gud. its about how and boy moves away from his girlfriend darala i think. and when he return back to new york his girlfriend messed up her life with drugs; and he is trying to help her before all her dreams are washed down the drains. he promises to help her and stay with her for good."
"I have to admit, I didn't really like this book. Almost enough to give it one star. But I finished it, so that's practically an automatic one and a half. I really liked monster, a lot. So I thought that another book by Walter Dean Myers would be a safe bet at a good book, but this book just bored me. It was never really that happy, and after reading the book- neither was I."
