"Personally this was a great find. My father was NASA, then FAA, but as a child of 14 soloed (sp?) and started his own aeronautic business - and so fondly remembers "the old days" - and it's interesting for this generation, as the freedom they had to pursue their fascination would be impossible with the regulations today - this was perfect for him. Objectively it's a delightful book chronicaling the development and advancement of aeronautics from the earliest days through the decades beyond - filled with wonderful photos, and stories of the frontier breakers early on through later years. It's a wonderful book, even if you're not "into" aeronautics - it's history on a personal level - very accessible, entertaining, informative, educational and so involving. AGAIN - even if you are NOT into aeronautics - you'll enjoy this book - it's a real find!"
