"I actually read this book at the bookstore through several visits. I never bought it. The title was what grabbed me. Having been told by every man I'm ever with that I am not a "crank", I decided to check it out and see why some treated me kind of badly then moved on to what some would call strong personalities. I didn't agree with the book. It seemed too far fetched. But it was entertaining for my own personal reasons."
"We all have that friend of ours that gives spot on advice when it comes to relationships that just makes so much sense. Mine was a co-worker of mine. When I started to read this book I came into work proclaiming I had found her bible she had never written. I loved this book back in my single days. So much of what it says I found to be true. One of my male co-workers is now reading it, so it is interesting to get his feedback on the book."
"Saw it in a used bookstore, had heard about it through some friends, bought it, read it relatively quickly and didn't really absorb any of the information. There were highlighted parts in my used copy. The fact that someone would highlight parts of a book such as this makes me wonder a little, but to each their own. I don't really understand how anything in this book would be taken seriously, but if it "helps you" then more power to you."
"I think about 15% percent of the advice given in this book is idiotic. In one of the examples, a wife put a red sock in with her husband's laundry to teach him a lesson about not handling his portion of the household duties. The husband was so upset about his pink underwear that he took over ALL the laundry duties. What the book doesn't tell you is that this will only work if A.) Your husband is Fred Flintstone or B.) Your husband is a complete moron."
