About this title: Legal affairs expert Ann Coulter attacks what she sees as a liberal bias in government and the media, and the resulting debasement of political discourse. She says liberals engage in vicious personal attacks on conservatives, trash their ideas, and refuse to acknowledge their accomplishments. Coulter names names, and offers her view on how to realign the terms of the debate--and why it is important to do so.

"I finished reading Slander by Ann Coulter. I thought this book was very good. This book was about the bias of the main stream media (besides FOX) and liberals against conservatives. This book was well written and by a great conservative author.
From this book, I learned:
I learned about the bias of CNN during the Bush-Gore election. CNN reported Gore's wins several hours faster than the states Bush won.
There are several very wealthy Democrats in Congress.
I learned there are many best selling books about conservative positions.
The liberal media redirects people's attention away from policies by labeling politicians as dumb.
The media has different standards for different presidents. The same policy may be treated differently by the media depending on their view of a president.
I enjoyed this book and overall I agreed with its contents. I have read other books by Ann Coulter and I thought they were good and well written. I preferred her other books, but this book was still good."
"I've seen Ann Coulter on television numerous times and her speaking style is very tongue-in-cheek. Unfortunately, so is her writing style. It was difficult to tell whether she was trying to be funny or seriously driving a point home.
This was a very informative book. A lot of good information about book publishers and print media in general. It's been several weeks since I read the book so I can't point anything out specifically. I can say that there were a lot of times I had to put the book down and say , "Huh, I never knew that" or "Wow, I hadn't thought of that perspective before."
I would definitely recommend this book to those who want an insight on how the Left hypocritically slams the Right.
But first, try to check out Ann on television or on radio so you can get a feel for her style. It will help when you read the book."
"Another over the top book from the lovely and brilliant Ann Coulter. Why people dislike this book can't be because Ann gets her facts wrong. Ms. Coulter does brilliant research and even her hyperbole is well stated. The prose is fun to read and the book very well laid out, Each of her books is a must for anyone who actually wants to think and, perhaps, do something about modern issues rather than follow the emotional issues to the so-called correct knee-jerk social decisions. One thing is absolutely clear: if you want to get involved in social issues, you have to go make a difference yourself rather than expect the government to fix anything. Like Reagan said, the easiest way to strike terror in anyone's heart is say the words, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help!"
The next thing we are going to hear is that she is a bigot because she won't allow homosexuals to marry....or did I confuse her with her father who wrote an older and bigger book?"
"Not worth your time. Reductive partisan drivel for people who follow the Republican Party, right or wrong, like a hometown football team instead of a means to forming responsible public policy. The author doesn't offer much insight in anything she covers, but functions as a cheerleader to tell the converted they are right. If you really need this sort of encouragement to butress your "beliefs", it shows that on some level you must suspect there may be more to the story. Go with that feeling."
