"I absolutely LOVE this book. I read it 3 years before the movie came out and I was enthralled. I read it in one day. The movie is good but do not judge the story by it. The book has sooo much more meat to it."
"THIS WAS A VERY WELL WRITTEN NOVEL AND ONE OF SPARKS' FINEST. I COULD NOT STOP READING ONCE I STARTED AND THROUGH THIS BOOK JUST LIKE EVERY NOVEL OF HIS I FELT LIKE I WAS THERE. THE ENDING IS VERY SAD SO HAVE SOME TISSUES ON HAND."
"Nights in Rodanthe was a wonderful romance that kept me reading all night long! Although I am not usually a fan of love stories, this book was riveting! Adrienne Willis travels to Rodanthe, North Carolina to keep watch over a friend's inn while she is away. She is also seeking to heal her wounded heart after being abandoned by her husband for a younger woman. Rodanthe promises to be the perfect medicine- a place where she can relax and recover while only tending to one guest, Dr. Paul Flanner. Paul has deep reasons for traveling to Rodanthe as well. Newly divorced from his wife of many years and estranged from his son, Paul is at a crossroads in his life. After a patient of his dies unexpectedly, he is deeply moved and decides to radically change his lifestyle. He sells his house, his practice and packs his things for a trip out of the country. Rodanthe is to be his last stop before leaving. As a fierce storm rages along the coast keeping them inside the inn, Paul and Adrienne face the storms of their hearts together. What a beautiful story! Although I do not consider myself a Nicholas Sparks fan, I could not put this book down. Paul and Adrienne are captivating in their honesty and the crossroads they are facing are very real. The way their relationship develops over such a short course of time is so comfortable that you feel like they have been acquainted for years. I quickly slipped into the world they created in Rodanthe and even forgot the backstory containing Adrienne's daughter Amanda. Ironically, this backstory is also touchingly beautiful. At the conclusion of the book, I was so satisfied and heartbroken for both of these strong women. It was reassuring to read a love story that transcends the need to detail the physical attraction between the two main characters. While the chemistry was felt in exquisite detail, it was never overly explained and this added to the charm. I highly recommend this to any mature woman who wants to read a lovely romance!"
"I loved this book - it was a Bridges of Madison
County type- love and romance and also sadness. A book you will enjoy. You won't want to put the book down."
