"I read this book several times because the information was helpful. While the author has and discusses haircare from her experiences with relaxed hair, the basic haircare information I think would work for most people (African Americans) with dry, damage hair. It wasn't at all technical, the language and contents simple and clear. She doesn't give too many specific products to use (other than her own), and I thought the information on product ingredients in general could have been a little more informative. It was a helpful book, I saw a difference in the feel/moisture level of my hair, even though my hair is not relaxed and I press and blow dry infrequently."
